Phillip Sear plays a set of three short preludes by the Georgian composer and pianist Dali Chkheidze (1927-93).

Dali (or Tinatin) Chkheidze ( დალი ჩხეიძე, 1927-93) studied at the Tbilisi Conservatory, from which she graduated in 1949 for composition (1951 for piano). She later taught there, and also composed in a range of genres. The first of the preludes reminds me slightly of the number 'Rhythm of Life' from 'Sweet Charity'. My thumbnail shows a view of the Grand Hall at the Tbilisi Conservatory.
