Meet Anna!

In this introductory video that we shot in the center of Hamburg, I talk about three of my main passions, Photography, Sculpting and Cooking. I also give you a little sneak peak into my work as well as goof around and introduce you to my partner Raoul. Trivial Fact: the scene with the Blue-screen was an Outtake from our very first Video. I kept laughing and could not stay serious, which must have been quite unbearable for Raoul, as we had to do a lot of retakes. The book I'm holding changed multiple times, this one is Buddenbrooks by Thomas Mann, who happens to be our both of our favorite writer. Another random fact is that as I was filming an angry lady walked past me and threatened to call the police on us because her Boutique appeared in the background. I picked the Boutique because it said Anna although on the second thought it's a Russian I which makes it Ania (which is still a form of Anna though) and I really like the tower reflected in the window.

Anna , a brunette in her thirties is wearing a dark-blue sweater and sitting on a bicycle (3 random facts: she loves to wear blue and has many blue outfits but can't wear them in front of the Blue-screen because it would make her transparent, in the edit; so she compensates for the lack of blue when filming outside. She borrowed the bike from Raoul, Anna isn't too keen on riding bikes in general. She smiles, greets the Audience with a cheerful გამარჯობა (Gamarjoba) and rides into the right corner of the frame, leaving the street empty and covered with a big shadow.

The Old Post Office is situated immediately next to the Hamburger Rathaus, in the Neustadt area of the city which houses many of Hamburg’s civic buildings. It was designed by Alexis de Chateauneuf, a German architect tasked with creating and restoring a number of buildings followed the Great Fire of Hamburg in 1842. The ground floor of the former Post Office building bears a series of arches similar to the nearby Alsterarkaden, also designed by de Chateauneuf. Opened in 1847, the building was later converted into a shopping arcade, which it remains to this day.
The Old Post Office building, rather than a reconstruction of a damaged or destroyed landmark, was created by the architect to solve a problem particular to Hamburg. The city covers a large area, divided by rivers and lakes, and faced many challenges to set up basic networks, including transportation, sanitation and a postal service. In 19th century Hamburg, four different regional companies delivered post around the city – Hamburg’s city post office, Thurn \u0026 Taxi, the royal Hannover post office and the Swedish postal service. This building, with four separate entrances and extensive mail transfer facilities, began the process of centralizing postal services in this growing city state. Anna introduces herself and talks about having lived in Hamburg for four years and she mentions that she flies two Tbilisi every other summer. She then talks about having moved from Cologne to Munich and then to Prague with her family.
