Elene Pachulia-Chubabria \u0026 Women Chonguri Player's Ensemble - Suliko.
Elene Pachulia-Chubabria joined women chonguri player's ensemble directed by Akvsenti Megrelidze in 1933. Soon she became the star performer, helping out multiple bands and choirs, also providing soundtrack to several movies. Called \"Queen Of Georgian Folklore\" by Anzor Erkomaishvili, she was very active to mid 1950s.
These two songs were recorded at the wake of the ensemble's success at Georgian Art Decade in Moscow in 1937. They were pressed in Leningrad at least twice: first in 1937 (second label at 0:16) and then repressed a year after as a B side of \"duplex\" (experimental 78 rpm format featuring two songs per side), with A side featuring Keto Japaridze's Georgian performances.
