Before Davit Aghmashenebeli, Georgia was a loose conglomerate of self-ruling fiefdoms. After Davit Aghmashenebeli, Georgia had a centralized church and state along with a strong common culture across Georgia's regions. Georgia's language adopted a new alphabet, its literature took on new topics, and its foundation for the present-day country we see today was made.
