2014 წლის 14 იანვარს გარემოს დაცვის სამინისტროს, თბილისის მუნიციპალური სამსახურის და GSPSA - ს ერთობლივი ძალისხმევით და გადწყვეტილებით ქუთაისში 6 წლის მანძილზე დატყვევებული დათვი ჩამოდის თბილისში, რომელიც დროებითად დაბინავდება თბილისის მუნიციპალურ ცხოველთა თავშესაფარში.
On the 14th January 2014 GSPSA received information about this captive bear . We urgently contacted the ministry of
environmental protection of Georgia and in coordination with them managed
to take the bear away from Kutaisi Park administration and arranged for
transportation to Tbilisi Municipal Animal Shelter under our direct
supervision. We are very thankful that Tbilisi Municipal Animal Shelter
agreed to keep the bear for a while, but in the long run sheltering a
fully grown bear is a serious undertaking. We hope that some solution appears
for this abused bear. We have learnt that the poor animal had been kept in
these conditions for 6 years and unfortunately we received information
only now.
