Idols, Admirers and White Crane
I have been an admirer of a plain Russian girl Natasha Ionova`s (Glukoza) talent for already four years. I am fond of her songs and cartoon videos. As for the lovely cartoon girl, we seem to be so alike each other in character.
I have learned about the concert of Glukoza in Tbilisi. Without wasting time, I took a brush and oil paints in my hands and painted Glukoza on the background of Tbilisi in a week. I decided to present Natasha with my painting personally. It was April 15, the Day of Love, and among other fans I was standing at the Sports Palace two hours prior the beginning of the concert. I explained the guard that I had a present for Natasha and I wanted to seem her very much. At that moment two girls came up to me and asked: “You are Teona Gvadzabia, aren’t you?” Later I learned that they used to visit my exhibitions organized by White Crane and read my tales published in the magazine. I showed the guard and the girls my painting and I was admitted to backstage. The plain was late and I spent three hours of expectation.
All of a sudden, a Russian fellow from the private guard force of Glukoza approached me and accompanied me to the room where my idol we preparing for the concert. She was sitting at the table in the corner of a huge room and was giving her autographs on the posters. There was no time left, she was alarmed by the fact that the concert hadn’t started yet. In spite of her excitement Glukoza greeted me warmly, accepted my present, gave me her photo as a keepsake and took a photo with me. Natasha admitted that I cheered her up with my present.
I was full of emotions. Having left the room, I burst out crying for happiness. At that moment some journalists came up to me and asked me to give them an interview. I was very much excited.
The hall of the Sports Palace was overcrowded. I was singing and dancing from the bottom of my heart together with my dear singer. Next day my interview was transmitted in the morning in and evening news as a part of the Glukoza visit Georgia. I believe that if one makes every effort, he/she will achieve anything.
