I recorded this on March 26th 2018 at the Erisioni Studios in Tbilisi Georgia. This was an attempt to capture images of the male singers. I have another take that I might put up later. The video wasn't quite as good as I wanted it. But the voices were perfect. And so I've included this as an excellent example of this unique style. There are two trios who are in call and response, almost a contest. These songs often began as work songs. And you can feel that here. Meanwhile there is a bass drone underneath. Eventually by the end there are five voicings at once hitting an unbelievably complex and dissonant harmonic moment, then resolving beautiful as only Georgians can do. Give it real listen.
