29 - Tbilisi - ფერხისა/Pherkhisa - Azamat

-- Headphones Required -- Follow us on Instagram   / ffcaravan   On our way from Udabno village, we have encountered the first snow of the year. With no cars passing on the road, and our attempts to hitchhike, we have been getting colder and colder to a point of desperation - we have even started playing football with a stone. We have been dreaming about a car full of women that would bring us back to Tbilisi, as have we had another meeting there with a local folk group, called Pherkhisa, and we had to be on time. Luckily after three hours of waiting the dream has come true and a car full of women restaurateurs from the near David Gareja monastery pulled over and brought us back to Tbilisi - even though one of us had to ride in the trunk of the car . The members of Pherkhisa folk group have been kind and gave us a lot of time to record their beautiful and unique voices. We have met them at their rehearsal room. We have been offered a Georgian wine and a chance to spend the whole afternoon recording many of Georgian traditional dances and songs. Please enjoy their beautiful coordination and voices.
