As Tbilisi has been named as World Book Capital for 2021, I thought I'd look at Georgian Literature in English Translation, this is an update of an earlier video I made entitled \"Georgian Literature 101\".
I am an Englishman living in Tbilisi, Georgia. I love reading and would like to read some Georgian Literature in English translation.

You can give me suggestions in the comments below. I am learning Georgian but I'm not yet at a level for reading anything other than the simplest books for children. In this video I look at what I have found in English so far.

Books mentioned:
The Knight in the Panther's Skin (ვეფხისტყაოსანი) by Shota Rustaveli (translation by Lyn Coffin)
A Russian Journal by John Steinbeck
The Pear Field by Nana Ekvtimishvili
The Eighth Life by Nino Haratischwili
Three Poems by Vazha-Pshavela (translation by Donald Rayfield)
პოემები (Poems) by Vazha-Pshavela
Poems by Galaktion Tabidze (translation by Innes Merabishvili)
Granny, Iliko, Ilarion and I by Nodar Dumbadze (translation by Raissa Bobrova)
The Secret of Another Desert by Ia Kargareteli
Flight from the USSR by Dato Turashvili
The Girl King by Meg Clothier

The Literature of Georgia (Caucasus World) by Donald Rayfield was the first comprehensive and objective history of the literature of Georgia (but copies on Amazon are very expensive).
