The Miracle of the Wonderworking and Myrrhstreaming “Hawaiian Iveron Icon.
For nearly 13 years, the Myrrh-Streaming Iveron Icon of Hawaii has exuded great amounts of holy myrrh on Holy Pascha (Orthodox Easter). During every Holy Week, the Hawaiian Icon goes completely dry and then begins gushing myrrh on Holy Saturday during the early Divine Liturgy.
Like the Holy Fire, this is an inexplicable phenomenon, recognized by the Holy Orthodox Church as a genuine miracle.
The Iveron Icon of Hawaii is considered to be one of the holiest relics cared for by the Holy Eastern Orthodox Church.
This year, once again, following the Midnight Paschal Divine Liturgy, the Wonderworking Iveron Icon was opened up for the few people present during this strict quarantine of the Covid-19 epidemic.
We beseech Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother to heal those who are sick and to aid us during these most trying times for the world.
The Iveron Icon of the Mother of God is a great consolation for all the faithful.
