Judo Georgia won 8 Olympic medals in the history. Georgia have three Olympic Champions Zurab Zviadauri, Irakli Tsirekidze and Lasha Shavdatuashvili. Tsirekidze was World Champion in 2007 and Avtandili Tchrikishvili won the judo world title in 2014 of 23 World medals. Georgia won 22 European Judo titles, Varlam Liparteliani was European Champion three times. David Kevkishvili is President of the Georgian Judo Federation. Each year the Grand Prix of Tbilisi is held. The Cadet and Junior men of Georgia are European Team Champion. At the 2017 IJF Masters Georgia won 3 gold medals.

-60 Lukhumi Chkhvimiani (3586 points) WRL 8.
Georgian judoka Lukhumi Chkhvimiani became World Champion in 2019 in Tokyo against Lutfillaev, as fourth Georgian ever. In 2019 he also captured European Games gold in Minsk. He won the Grand Prix of Tbilis in 2017. He captured four Grand Prix medals. As a cadet he won bronze at the European U17 Championships and EYOF in 2009. He took a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2018 and 2019 and gold at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi in 2018 and 2019.

-66 Vazha Margvelashvili (3955 points) WRL 5.
Vazha Margvelashvili of Georgia won bronze at the Grand Prix Düsseldorf in 2015 and 2016 U66kg. He won world bronze in 2017 in Budapest. Margvelashvili took gold at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi in 2017 and 2018. He won bronze at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2017 and gold at the Grand Prix Düsseldorf. He took bronze at the IJF Masters in 2017 and 2018. Vazha won the Grand Prix in The Hague in 2018. He took silver at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2019 and Grand Slam Düsseldorf in 2020.

-73 Lasha Shavdatuashvili (2445 points) WRL 23.
Lasha Shavdatuashvili won the Olympic title U66kg in 2012 and took bronze U73kg in Rio in 2016. The Georgian judoka won European bronze in 2012 and the European title in 2013 U66kg. Switched to U73 and won medals in Düsseldorf and Tbilisi and won the Grand Prix Almaty. In 2017 he won silver at the Grand Prix Düsseldorf 2017. He took a silver medal at the IJF Masters in 2017 and bronze in 2018. Lasha took gold at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi. He took bronze at the Grand Prix in The Hague in 2018.

-81 Tato Grigalashvili (3233 points ) WRL 12.
Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili took the bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in Zagreb in 2017 and 2019 in Marrakech. He won bronze at the Junior European Championships in 2017 and 2019. He took bronze at the Grand Prix in Antalya in 2018. Tato took a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi and Grand Slam in Baku in 2019. He took bronze at the Universiade in Napoli and gold at the Grand Prix in Budapest and bronze in Zagreb. Tato won gold at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2020.

-90 Beka Gviniashvili (3681 points) WRL 10.
Georgian judoka Beka Gviniashvili is 2013 and 2015 World Junior Champion and is the most successful junior athlete ever also with the Georgian Junior team. In 2017 he won the Grand Prix Düsseldorf 2017. He took bronze at the European Championships in Warsaw in 2017 U90kg. He took gold at the Masters in StPetersburg in 2017. Beka won three national titles. He took silver at the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg in 2019. He took a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi and Budapest and gold in Zagreb.

-100 Varlam Liparteliani (4796 points) WRL 3.
Georgian judoka Varlam Liparteliani won silver at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. He is triple European Champion in 2012, 2014 and 2016 and won 9 European medals. He was World silver medallist in 2013, 2017 and 2018 and won bronze in 2014 and 2015. He also took World and European team titles with Georgia. He took gold at the IJF Masters in St. Petersburg in 2017 and in 2018 in Guangzhou. Varlam took gold at Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2018 and in Paris three times. European Games silver in Minsk.

+100 Guram Tushishvili (5125 points) WRL 3.
Guram Tushishvili of Georgia became World Champion in 2018 in Baku. He is the European Champion of 2017 in Warsaw, also he won the team title with Georgia. He captured European Games gold in Minsk. He took gold medal at the Grand Prixs in Tashkent (2019), Tbilisi and Zagreb in 2018. He won gold at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2020. Tushishvili is the World Cadet Champion of 2011 in Kiev and took two European Junior titles in 2013 and 2015. He took gold at the IJF Masters in 2017 and 2018.
