Description of the Assignment

Title: Promotion and Advertising in Social Media

Duration of the assignment:  3 or 4 days training course

Period of the assignment:  Training will take a place tentatively in October 2020 with the Zoom Platform

Place of assignment: Georgia

Language: English and Russian


Through this announcement HEKS/EPER South Caucasus office is looking for a trainers’ team or training organization interested and competent to plan and implement the training on the topic Promotion and Advertising in Social Media in October 2020.


Background information

HEKS/EPER is the Swiss Aid Agency, which works for development, income generation, human rights and emergency aid. The purpose of the HEKS/EPER strategy in the South Caucasus is to improve the living conditions of rural and disadvantaged population groups and contribute to peaceful coexistence of South Caucasus countries. Other than in South Caucasus, the organization is presented in more than 20 focus countries with own regional programmes.

HEKS/EPER implements projects through different CSOs over the above-mentioned fields as well as manages the mandates, received from various donors.


Assignment Objectives

Trainer/Training Organization will work with around 20 representatives of HEKS/EPER South Caucasus office and management of Georgian and Armenian partner organizations, implementing the projects, funded by HEKS/EPER.

The aim of the training on Promotion and Advertising in Social Media is to develop and strengthen the skills of HEKS/EPER head office staff and employees of partner organizations, responsible for the implementation of projects in the fields of income generation and conflict transformation Armenia and Georgia.


Required qualifications of facilitator/team

The trainer/training organization is expected to meet the following qualifications:

  • Theoretical knowledge and rich practical experience in promotion and advertising in social media
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience as a trainer/facilitator/coach
  • Proven track record in the field
  • Excellent facilitation skills in English


Topics of the training

Training on Promotion and advertising in social media should cover the following topics:

  • various platforms and techniques to promote and advertise the project activities, products and events
  • analyse effectiveness of various social media platforms
  • effectively design content and strategy of social promotion and distinguish their effectiveness for promoting the different products/services/or behaviour change
  • development of content for social media
  • tools for infographics and training modules development
  • analyse and identify the needed target groups though social media platforms
  • design advertising strategy and content
  • use various possibilities of advertising on social media platforms
  • analyse advertising effectiveness
  • promote significant behaviour change in the field of conflict transformation and income generation
  • define campaign objectives:
    • reach;
    • brand awareness,
    • traffic, engagement,
    • app installs,
    • video views,
    • lead generation,
    • messages,
    • conversations,
    • sales,
    • store visits
  • Platforms, covered, but not limited: Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In, Educational platforms – suggestions from the trainer/training organization are welcomed


Expected results

As a result of the training, participants should be able to:

  • plan and implement the effective strategy of promotion and advertising in social media
  • choose the most effective platform(s) to rich their goals and objectives
  • effectively formulate content
  • use various techniques, to increase awareness, attitude and behaviour change is the directions of income generation and conflict transformation (depending on the goal and objectives of their projects)
  • develop and direct promotion and advertisings to the defined target groups
  • choose the most effective pricing and billing strategy
  • analyse social media campaigns’ results


Training format

In parallel with the theory, the training course should include the practical cases, discussions around the projects, which are implemented by the training participants, presentations and exercising instruments, questions and guidance.

Training will be implemented though the ZOOM platform (suggestions from trainer/training organization are welcomed)
