Company Overview:
We are a car carrier company that specializes in transporting vehicles across various destinations. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Dispatcher to join our dynamic team.

Position Summary:
As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of vehicles, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to the smooth and efficient operations of our car carrier fleet.

Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently schedule and dispatch drivers for vehicle pickups and deliveries according to customer requirements and company guidelines.
  • Maintain constant communication with drivers, providing necessary instructions, route updates, and handling any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Coordinate with customers to confirm pickup and delivery details, address inquiries, and resolve any service-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as the operations department and maintenance team, to ensure the availability of resources and address any operational challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize routing and improve operational efficiency, taking into account factors such as load balancing, distance, and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor driver performance, including adherence to schedules, compliance with safety regulations, and overall professionalism.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to vehicle transportation and logistics.
  • Act as a point of contact for emergency situations, such as accidents or breakdowns, and coordinate appropriate responses to ensure the safety and well-being of drivers and vehicles.
  • Provide administrative support, such as data entry, record keeping, and generating reports as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics role, preferably within the automotive transportation industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology tools.
  • Sound knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with geographical areas and routes to efficiently plan shipments.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and make effective decisions.
  • Experience or familiarity with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) applications, such as Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Calendar, is a plus.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support the 24/7 nature of our operations.
